In our pilot phase, we host in-person and virtual pop culture workshops targeted at first-generation immigrants. These workshops feature local stand-up comedians performing and dissecting their material in real time, explaining punchlines, slang, idioms, and subtle cultural references, and offering historical and social context behind the jokes. Each workshop is designed to be both educational and entertaining, helping non-native speakers strengthen their cultural fluency and conversational confidence.
